The first group takes place in humid conditions which please Dan ticktum (Motopark) since he achieved the best time in 54”553. He is two tenths ahead of Ralf Aron (Prema) and a surprising Jonathan Aberdein who confirms the good form of Motopark with Jüri Vips (Motopark) and Robert Shwartzman (Prema) completing the top 10.

The second group saw more favorable conditions with a drying track and Ticktum's time was quickly wiped out, condemning the first group to a start from the even side of the track for the first race of the weekend on Saturday morning.

He's the rookie Marcus Armstrong (Prema) who took the best time in group B with a benchmark of 52''520 which gave him his first pole position in F3. He is ahead of Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) in his group and Mick Schumacher (Prema). The Carlins of Nikita Troitsky and Ferdinand Habsburg complete the top 10 of the grid just ahead Sacha fenestraz (Carlin) whose 6e time gives it an 11e place on the rack.
