Ralph Aron (Hitech GP) achieved pole position in Q2 at the Norisring in FIA F3, with a best time set in 47”859 and ahead of his teammate Jake Hughes by almost a tenth.
The winner of the first race of the weekend, Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam), qualifies 3e. The single-seaters of the Carlin team Lando Norris and Jehan Daruvala follow to complete the top 5. A tenth separates Günther, third, from Pedro Piquet (Van Amersfoort Racing) 6th.
Note that Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) received 5 penalty places for a collision in race 1 and Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) received 3.
For the grid for the third race, Maximilian Gunther will start from pole with a second best time of 47”965. Daruvala will be second ahead of a 100% Hitech GP second row with Aron and Hughes.
