The Motopark of Jury Vips achieved the best time in the first free practice session at the Norisring with a time of 48”508. He is ahead of championship leader Enaam Ahmed (Hitech GP) and Jehan Daruvala (Carlin), winner last year on this urban track. Daniel Ticktum (Motopark) climbs into 4the placed 2 tenths behind his teammate and ahead of Marcus Armstrong (Prema) and Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin).
The second session was dominated by Then Ticket with a reference of 48''114 and ahead of Vips. Fabio Scherer confirms the good form of Motopark in 3e position in front of Daruvala and Ahmed. For his first time at the Norisring, Sacha fenestraz (Carlin) ranked 10e and 8e. Note the absence of Devlin DeFrancesco (Carlin), the Canadian convalescing after an operation at the start of the week and forfeiting this first German weekend.
