Nazim Azman arrives with Hitech GP

Malaysia is back at the Grands Prix Formula 1. We are not yet talking about a successor to Alexander Young, the only Malaysian to have driven an F1 in a Grand Prix (14 GPs in 2001 and 2002 with Minardi), but about promotional formulas. The Hitech GP team has indeed signed Nazim Azman for the 2022 FIA season Formula 3.

Fourth in Euroformula Open in 2021 while winning a race, the 20-year-old Malaysian competed in post-season testing with Jenzer and Charouz. In 2022, he will be the teammate of'Isack Hadjar, the Frenchman sponsored by Red Bull.

“The team is a staple in F3 and will provide me with the ideal platform to focus on racing against some of the best young talent in the world,” he said. I can't wait to race in Bahrain again, visiting some of the most iconic circuits in Europe – some of which I already know and others which will be new to me. I can't deny that it's a big step forward for me but, having raced – and won – in the EuroFormula Open, I believe I'm up for the challenge. »
