Spaniard Andy Soucek set the best time in the first free practice session on Friday at the Valencia circuit. In 1:27.800, he beat the German Tobias Hegewald and the Canadian Robert Wickens. Frenchman Julien Jousse set the 14th fastest time, at 1.430 sec. of Soucek. Valencia is the first meeting of the season F2, a new discipline in 2009.
