Felipe Nasr, Dams driver in GP2 this season and British champion F3 2011, reunited with the Carlin team for the occasion. The Brazilian set the best time in the first free session in 2'14, ahead of Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke) 785'2. Carlin makes a group shot with Antonio Félix Da Costa 15rd in front Carlos Sainz Jr. and Will Buller. Daniel Juncadella, the double F3 Euro Series and FIA European Championship champion, is currently in 6th position.
The weather is overcast and muggy in Macau, but rain is not forecast until Friday. The first F3 qualifying should also take place on a dry track this afternoon.
