Felix Rosenqvist has just scored a second consecutive pole on the Guia circuit. Initial leader, after an interruption caused by the exit of Callum Ilott, the Swede was temporarily dislodged from command by Charles Leclerc, before setting the best time twice. The Theodore Racing by Prema driver having just improved to 2'10?474 with 4′ to go, the session was stopped prematurely following the exit of Antonio Giovinazzi (Carlin), finally classified 4th.
Ultimately it is Daniel Juncadella (Fortec), the 2011 winner, who will start on the front row next to Rosenqvist. The Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort) obtained a very good 3rd place, the first of the Rookies.
Signature drivers, Albon and Boccolacci, could not do better than 15th and 25th.
