Building on his first successful pole position this morning, to be used for race 3 tomorrow, Carlos Sainz Jr did not wait to achieve his first success in the British championship. F3. In fact, the pilot Red Bull of the Carlin team took the lead by coming out of the pits before everyone else, a heavy downpour having poured on the Autodromo after the green flag, forcing all the drivers to come and put on the sculpted tires.

Sainz then built a nice lead to take the checkered flag with 10? margin over the Brazilian Pipo Derani (Fortec), with the Malaysian Jazeman Jaafar (Carlin) completing the podium.

Poorly qualified, championship leader Jack Harvey (Carlin) limited the damage by moving up to 5th place. But a penalty for a short-circuited chicane saw him demoted to 7th place, the Englishman thus losing the overall lead in favor of Sainz, with Jafaar also passing him in front.
