Finnish Atte Mustonen was the fastest on the first day of Formula 3 Euro Series testing at the Valencia circuit in Spain.
The Motopark Academy driver is ahead of Spaniard Roberto Merhi (Manor Motorsport) and Jules Bianchi (ART Grand Prix). Behind three single-seaters powered by Mercedes, Brendon Hartley (Carlin Motorsport) is first classified in Volkswagen.
Adrien Tambay (ART Grand Prix) and Jean-Karl Vernay (Signature) follow each other in 23rd and 24th positions.
