Jolyon Palmer and Philipp Eng are the first two polemen of the season Formula 2. The two men respectively won the first and second qualifying sessions on the Silverstone circuit, the venue for the championship opener. Palmer will start on pole for race 1, Eng on pole for race 2. Frenchman Benjamin Lariche ranks tenth and eleventh, while Belgian Benjamin Bailly finishes in fifteenth place in both sessions.
