Jean-Karl Vernay seized the opportunity to achieve his first success in F3, thanks to a great start which saw him overtake pole sitter Atte Mustonen and Christian Vietoris from the first hectometers.

Leading from start to finish, the Signature/VW driver was able to keep his cool after the new takeoff, following the neutralization caused by the traditional collision on the first lap. Threatened by Vietoris, Vernay was able to use the four new tires he had kept for this 2nd race. At the end of the race, the German could no longer attempt anything.

Jules Bianchi scored a fine podium at the cost of a heroic resistance on Mika Mäki, Stefano Coletti moving up to 5th ahead of Sam Bird strengthening his leadership position.

Alexandre Marsoin, 13th for a moment, had to abandon, as did Adrien Tambay, excellent 10th and leader of the Rookies at the start of the race.
