Starting in third position in the second Norisring race, Christian Vietoris quickly took the lead to win after 44 laps. Starting in eighth position (knowing that sixth place on the grid was empty, Coletti having been excluded), Frenchman Jules Bianchi finished third and consolidated his position as championship leader. The Norisring did well for the Tricolores since Vernay ranked second, and Tambay seventh. Unfortunately, he again missed the opportunity to score his first points of the season, with only the first six being rewarded.
