Freddy Loix (Skoda Fabia S2000) continues his comeback on Kevin Abbring (Peugeot 208 T16) at the head of the Rally from Ypres. The Belgian took the scratch in the eleventh timed sector and gained six tenths from the Dutchman du Lion who retained control of the race with a 19″8 lead after the first loop of the day. Cédric Chérain completes the provisional podium with Ford Fiesta R5. Craig Breen encountered difficulties again in this special, following the breakage of the fuel pump of his 208 T16. The Irishman was forced to stop during the SS to restart his car.
The rally will resume at 13:49 p.m. with SS12 at Kemmelberg.
