Leader of Rally of Ypres after having dominated the first two specials, Kevin Abbring lost more than 23″ in SS4 of the Belgian event following a puncture on his Citroën DS3 R5. The Dutchman falls to fifth place in the general classification, now dominated by Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16 R5). The Irishman precedes the Frenchman Bryan Bouffier (Citroën DS3 R5), author of his second consecutive scratch in SS4, 4″1 ahead of Breen.
Stéphane Lefebvre (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) and Belgian Kris Princen (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) are tied at the end of this special for third place in the standings. Freddy Loix (Skoda Fabia R5) is in sixth position after experiencing a puncture in this sector.
