ERC-ES9: Pech to conclude

The leader of the Barum Rally, Vaclav Pech (Mini JCW) set the best time on the last special stage of this first real stage of the Czech event counting towards the European Rally Championship. This evening he is ahead of the Skoda Fabia S2000 of Sepp Wiegand, the victim of a puncture in this last sector and who suddenly loses 24″7 to find himself 54″1 behind the leader this evening. Tomas Kostka places his Ford Fiesta R5 in third position, 1'12"7 behind the Mini, after encountering power steering problems in the final stage, causing him to lose almost 42".

Robert Consani (Peugeot 207 S2000) held up quite well in 6th position at over 1'43", and despite vibrations in his car.
