Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford Fiesta R5) set the best time in the qualifying special for Rally Liepaja in Latvia with a time of 1'35"8 on the 3,1km dirt course. The Russian beat the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 Craig Breen for half a tenth. Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Fiesta R5), winner of the Jännerrallye (Austria) last month, completes the top three at 1”5, being followed at a second by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X of Siim Plangi. Robsert Consani (Peugeot 207 S2000) set the eighth fastest time.
