The snowy course of Rally Liepeja in Latvia claimed its first victims after the first two special stages. Jonathan Hirschi (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) went off the road in the first special, while Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford Fiesta R5) was trapped in the second SS when he was the first leader.
Craig Breen (208 T16 R5) finds himself at the head of the event with 19 seconds ahead of Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Fiesta R5). Siim Plangi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X) completes the provisional podium, 39 seconds behind the race lead. Robert Consani (Peugeot 207 S2000) occupies 12th place.
