Jan Kopecky was already leading the Jännerrallye when he took part in the second pass of Pregarten (SS9) which was the penultimate route of the first stage. The Skoda driver completed the 8,7km in 4'52"5, just five tenths off the scratch of his compatriot Vaclav Pech who was riding a Mini JCW S2000. Click on this link to view the onboard camera video.
