Fredrik Ahlin will be hired full-time in ERC this year by competing in the Under 28 category at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia R5 prepared by the British team CA1 Sport. The 26-year-old Swede has cut his teeth over the past two years in the MSA British Rally Championship.
“I had already decided before the last event of last year's Championship that I wanted to face a new challenge in 2018, comments the Scandinavian. Even though I lost the title by one point (to Keith Cronin), which was a tough conclusion, I'm proud of what I accomplished. »
In order to perfect his experience before discovering all the rounds of the ERC calendar, Fredrik Ahlin took part in three Swedish events.
“Unfortunately I had to give up Rally from Sweden due to technical problems. Although we hoped for better, these last few weeks have been productive”, added Fredrik Ahlin.
