24,5 kilometers long, the Erbajol – Pont d?Altiani 1 special was completed the fastest by Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot ). Thanks to a time of 15:18:2, the Frenchman is eight tenths ahead of Dani Sordo (Mini) who takes the lead of the rally following an error by Mikkelsen. The Norwegian actually made a mistake by puncturing a tire while taking a tight turn, causing him to lose 2'43. With the third time 2??8 from the scratch, Jan Kopecky (Skoda) takes second place 20??8 behind Sordo.

Behind him, the battle rages between the French. Pierre Campana (Peugeot) sets the fourth time 4 seconds ahead Craig Breen (Peugeot) while Mathieu Arzeno (Peugeot) failed four seconds behind the Irishman.

In the general classification behind Dani Sordo and Jan Kopecky, the battle promises to be close. Pierre Campana climbs to third position, just four seconds behind second place. The Bastiais is followed by Bryan Bouffier who comes back like a cannonball thanks to his scratch. Only 1??5 separates the two compatriots. At eleven seconds, Mathieu Arzeno remains on the lookout, but the latter can breathe since he managed to create a cushion of more than a minute on Julien Maurin's Fiesta S2000. Following his puncture, Andreas Mikkelsen fell to eighth position just behind the 207 S2000 of Jean-Marc Manzagol.
