Juho Hänninen (Skoda) finishes the first stage of the Barum Rally Zlin by setting a new scratch on the Tesak course. The Finn achieved a time of 9'50"3 at the end of the 19,1km and relegated his closest rival Jan Kopecky (Skoda) to eight seconds. Tomas Kostka (Skoda) follows more than 17 seconds back with a tenth ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda).
The 2010 champion finished the day leading the event with an 11” lead over Jan Kopecky. Andreas Mikkelsen remains on the provisional podium with 4 seconds behind the Czech. Tomas Kostka follows in fourth position ahead of Roman Kresta (Skoda) who completes the top five.
