Mathieu Franceschi takes it to the next level. Crowned French gravel rally champion in 2022, the Varois will enter the European Rally Championship (ERC) this season, as he told us during his interview for AUTOhebdo made in November. The 23-year-old driver will embark on a full European program, still with the AMD Motorsport team and still aboard the Skoda Rally2 Evo.
In the past, Mathieu Franceschi has already competed in an ERC event, during the Rally of Poland in 2021. For his new adventure in the ERC, he will have a new co-driver on his right, in the person of Jules Escartefigue. His former co-driver, Lucie Baud, joins his brother Jean-Baptiste Franceschi in the French Terrestrial Rally Championship in 2023.
The European Rally Championship (ERC) will kick off in Portugal, for the Fafe Rally, on March 11 and 12.
