On the occasion of his first rally, the 2010 ALMS champion placed 1st in his group and class, and 6th overall.
Entered in the 19th Rallye National de la Vienne, contested not far from his hometown of Montmorillon, the Poitevin driver completed the first special in 14th place. Then, taking the measure of the Citroën C2R2 MAX from Marc Amourette's Trajectoire Racing team and a terrain with which he was unfamiliar, simon pagenaud quickly progressed in the hierarchy.
He finally ranked 6th in the general classification after setting the 4th fastest time in the 10th and final special. An excellent result achieved just before flying today to Florida where he will compete in the 12 Hours of Sebring next Saturday at the wheel of the new HPD ARX-01e LMP1 from the Highcroft team. A car that he will share with his usual teammates, David Brabham and Marino Franchitti.
