In order to better meet the expectations of drivers in French Rally Championship events, the FFSA has created a new group called GT+. “ Les voitures de Grand Tourisme issues d?une coupe monomarque (Porsche Carrera Cup, Trophée Ferrari, Lotus Cup?), the models approved in FIA GT3 and the FFSA Series GTs having undergone at least one of the authorized modifications will make up the new GT+ Group », Announces the FFSA.
« The creation of the GT+ Group, decided by the FFSA Bureau, was finalized thanks to the very constructive involvement of the main stakeholders concerned », underlines Nicolas Deschaux, President of the FFSA. “ By now admitting these sportiest models, generally endowed with a strong image and associated with an element of dream in rally, a new component is given to the French Championship event grids for the 2010 season. I am convinced that certain drivers and certain Teams will not hesitate to quickly seize this new opportunity. »
This GT+ group will be established from the next event of the French Championship, during the Rallye du Limousin (June 11-13).
