Following the tragic accident which cost the life of Gareth Roberts, the teammate of Craig Breen, the Targa Florio in Sicily was interrupted after SS8 (Ceafalu), while there were three timed events remaining. THE rally which counted for the IRC series was then dominated by the Czech Jan Kopecky who had just taken the lead by eight tenths of a second ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen, also on a Skoda Fabia S2000. Craig Breen's state of health does not cause any concern.
