Despite a little fatigue this Sunday morning, Simon Jean-Joseph still dominated this last stage of the rally Lloret-Terres de Catalunya. At the wheel of his Peugeot 207 S 2000 from the 2C Compétition team, the Martinican driver won his third consecutive victory, and moved to the top of the French championship, tied with Emmanuel Gascou. “ We had a good weekend. The event was fun, well organized, and it promotes the French gravel rally championship. It’s always a pleasure to win, especially with zero mistakes and zero problems.”

Going on the attack this morning after a somewhat disappointing Saturday, Emmanuel Gascou took second place, to the detriment of Julien Maurin. “It was the only solution to stay in touch in the championship. Today, I took a risk to come back to Maurin, and it paid off”, estimated the driver of the Peugeot 207 S 2000 prepared by Enjolras.

Finally, note the very good performance of the young Dutchman Kevin Abbring, who finished fifth overall with his Citroën DS 3 R3. The “protege” of Philippe Bugalski is of course well ahead of the Deux Roues Motrices Trophy and dominates the Citroën Racing Trophy organized as part of the Terrestrial championship.
