Ott Tänak (Toyota) is the new WRC champion at the end of the Rally de Catalunya won by Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). The Estonian took 2nd place, ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai) by 4 tenths. Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) keeps 4th place for a little more than 6 seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) finished 6th ahead of his teammate Teemu Suninen. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) takes 8th place ahead of Mads Ostberg (Citroën), winner of WRC 2 Pro, and Éric Camilli (Citroën), winner of WRC 2.

Ott Tänak also took the scratch in the Power Stage by 3 seconds ahead of Elfyn Eva. Thierry Neuville followed in 6rd place ahead of Dani Sordo and Sébastien Ogier.

Teemu Suninen suffered a scare when he hit an embankment, tearing off part of his hood.
