Kalle Rovanperä beats Ott Tänak's time! The Finn set the best time in 10'00″5, 6 tenths better than the Estonian.

It’s a first podium for the reigning champion on the Monte-Carlo Rally!

Rovanperä: “It was a good match. I think we can be quite happy with second place. There was a lot more cleaning than I expected on Thursday and Friday, and it seemed that when we were in the same conditions as everyone else, we had the same pace as everyone else. »

13h

3rd time for Thierry Neuville, who finished 3″6 behind Ott Tänak on this Power Stage. The Belgian signs his 5th podium at Monte-Carlo, having won the event in 2020.

Neuville: “I gave it my all, but we had so much tire wear compared to the others all weekend and we were lacking speed. Even if we take risks at times, we cannot compete with others. We had to be reasonable this weekend – we kept the car on the road and brought it back. Now we are looking forward to Sweden. »

13h

Thierry Neuville and Kalle Rovanperä are behind Tänak's time at the first intermediate.

13h

Elfyn Evans fails by a tenth of Ott Tänak! The Welshman did not take the 5 points from the Power Stage, but finished 4th in the Monte-Carlo Rally.

A disappointing result for the man who was battling with Ogier at the start of the event, but who had to give up victory after a puncture on Friday...

Evans: “I didn't have the best feeling. The tires moved quite early, but other than that everything was fine. It's a very good weekend in terms of pace. Obviously, Friday's disappointment put us out of contention for the podium, but that's rallying and that's how it is. »

12h

New best time for Ott Tänak in 10'01″1! The Estonian will be in the top 5 of the Power Stage no matter what, and should finish 5th in the Monte-Carlo Rally. A small success for him, after 3 successive withdrawals from the event alpine...

Tanak: “This is the first stage I tried to drive quickly! We were very stupid on the previous one and we had to push on this one. I wouldn't say it was a good stage, we had a lot of understeer and I struggled with that, but here we are. It's a long season but it's a positive start – at least we've already scored a few points, not like the previous three years. »

12h

Takamoto Katsuta manages to reach the finish but with a bent left rear wheel! The Japanese finished the Power Stage 47″5 behind Lappi, and managed to maintain his 6th place overall.

Katsuta: " I've no idea. After a sharp turn, something broke right away, as if the car was being swept away by the mountain. We were very lucky that it wasn't in a fast section. After that we touched the back and we were able to continue but we couldn't open the throttle because there was something wrong with the car. »

12h

Ott Tänak is on the attack and ahead of the first intermediate… while Katsuta is in slow motion, already 30 seconds behind the 2nd intermediate! The Toyota is smoking!

12h

Dani Sordo retained his 7th place overall as he finished only 2″9 behind his teammate Esapekka Lappi.

Sordo: “We had a lot of problems with the hybrid but I'm sure the guys did everything they could to give me the best car. I'm disappointed to have these little issues but I'm sure they will find something and it won't happen again. »

12h

Esapekka Lappi upholds the Rally1 hierarchy with the new best time in 10'11"2, or 17"3 faster than Rossel.

Lappi: “At least we did all the mileage and we understood a lot about this car, which is very important for Croatia. I'm quite disappointed with my performance but the only way is to improve and try to be better in the next one. »

12h

Dani Sordo is a second and a half behind on the first intermediate compared to Esapekka Lappi.

12h

The French driver from Citroën sets the new best time of this Power Stage in 10'28″5, or 13 seconds better than Cais!

Rossel: “I pushed myself to the limit all weekend. The car is not easy to drive but I am here and if I finish second it is not bad for the championship. We didn't make any mistakes all weekend and I drove a little cautiously when the risk of a puncture was high. We will see. »

12h

Yohan Rossel is already 2″5 ahead of Gryazin at the first intermediate.

12h

Pepe Lopez finished 1″9 behind Cais and finished in 3rd place in the Monte-Carlo Rally.

Lopez: “I'm very happy with what we did but a little disappointed because we had fuel pump problems on Saturday and Sunday, so we had to put a little more weight in the car. Let's try to do another rally like this. »

12h

Erik Cais was the first to cross the finish line in 10'41″3.
