Ott Tänak took victory at the Rally Germany with around twenty seconds ahead of Kris Meeke. Jari-Matti Latvala secures the hat-trick for Toyota. This is the 3rd victory in a row in this event for the Estonian who is celebrating the 11th victory of his career, his 5th of the season.

Hyundai saves the furniture by completing the Top 5 with Dani Sordo and Thierry Neuville. Esapekka Lappip (Citroën) retained 6th place for 4 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) had to settle for 8th place ahead of Gus Greensmith (M-Sport) and Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota). Jan Kopecky (Skoda) wins in WRC 2 Pro ahead of Éric Camilli (Ford).

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) took the scratch in the Power Stage, beating Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) by 1”2. Jari-Matti Latvala followed more than 2 seconds ahead of Kris Meeke. Sébastien Ogier saves a bonus point by finishing tied with Dani Sordo.

Tänak now has a 35-point lead over Neuville and 42 points over Ogier with 4 rounds remaining in the season.

Hyundai remains at the top of the Manufacturers' Championship with an 8-point lead over Toyota. Citroën follows 65 points behind the Japanese brand. M-Sport is at 131 units from Hyundai.
