Hugh Barter is definitely the driver for the start of the French Formula 4 Championship. Twice winner at Nogaro, the Australian who is in his second season in F4 won this morning on the Pau-Ville circuit to Race 1.

Qualified on the 1st row on Friday just behind Arao Souta, the Australian got off to a better start to take the lead before the first corner. As Hugh Barter begins to widen the gap, he misses his braking and allows the Japanese to return to contact. After several attempts until the last lap, Arao Souta had to be satisfied with the points for second place and let Hugh Barter fly a little further in the Drivers' Ranking.

French side, Enzo Peugeot long seemed capable of reaching the podium but he ultimately finished in 4th place. Starting in 3rd position, he will fight a battle with Nomura Yato for the podium. This on-track duel will allow Alessandro Giusti, the member of the AUTOhebdo Rookie Academy who started 4th on the grid, to catch up with the two drivers in front of him. 5 minutes from the end of the race, Nomura Yato managed to overtake by delaying his braking. Except that a few turns later, the Japanese made a mistake and it was ultimately Alessandro Giusti who took advantage of this error to take 3rd place, 2 seconds behind the leader, Hugh Barter. Enzo Peugeot and Vayron Elliott complete the top 5.
