The 2019 Winfield Volant selections crowned the youngster Jules Mettetal (finalist in the FIA Junior World Championship Karting 2017). Organized on the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var), they made it possible to evaluate the talent of 18 teenage drivers through several days of exercises.

Physical and mental preparation exercises were followed by workshops with engineers, on-track evaluations and debriefings.
Renowned speakers like Julien Fébreau (commentator on Canal+) or Eric Boullier accompanied the participants.

The former main team of Renault, Lotus and McLaren en F1 was also part of the final jury with the ex-F1 driver Jarno Trulli, Mike Knight (creator of Winfield Racing School) and Frédéric Garcia (President of Winfield Group).

The four competitors in the final (the French Hadrien David and Jules Mettetal as well as the British Callum Bradshaw and the American Nicky Hays) took a final exam under the Var sun.

Victorious, Jules Mettetal is guaranteed to complete the entire 2019 season of the French FFSA F4 Championship. The Winfield Trophy, reserved for juniors, goes to Isaac Hadjar. The FIA – Women in Motorsport prize is awarded to Dorian Pin.
