V de V Endurance Series and Euro Racecar: Same passion, same philosophy!

Jérôme Galpin and Eric Van de Vyver have been side by side for many years, both to drive on the circuits and to work together on the organization and development of different events. Let us also remember that Team FJ is in charge of supplying fuel to V de V competitors. Endurance Series.

Jérôme Galpin had the brilliant idea of importing to France, but also to European circuits, a racing concept directly derived from the famous Nascar American. The Euro Racecar was created in 2009 for its first season and, from the beginning, Eric Van de Vyver was interested in these events. “I already knew Jérôme, and I found this idea brilliant! It must be said that I myself am a real enthusiast of US races and in particular of Nascar which I follow during each TV broadcast. Developing this concept at home brought something truly new, with the added bonus of this idea of motorsport which combines spectacle and good humor: values that I myself seek to highlight in the V de V series! »

Eric Van de Vyver therefore supported Jérôme Galpin?s project even before the first races were organized, and he of course then rushed to find a place in a seat to experience the adventure from the inside. This year, the promoter of the V de V Endurance Series will race in the Open category on the Toyota Camry n°20 from the Racing Club Partners team during the Tours event on July 6 and 7. He will share the car with the Belgian Bertrand Baguette (entered in Elite) who drives in WEC with Oak Racing, but above all has real experience of racing in IndyCar. The Tours Speedway event takes place on a 600m oval which requires enormous preparation work on the part of the organizing team.

A banking inclined at 9° was created to allow the 25 cars to run in conditions very close to those of Nascar; the racing rules being almost identical to those applied in American events.

Finally, it is important to remember that Jérôme and Jean Galpin not only imported the concept that gave birth to the Euro RaceCar, but that they also developed the cars that run in it! These can also be easily modified to integrate other events, including the Endurance GT/Tourisme de V de V Endurance Series. Some competitors have already come to try the experience within the V de V (as in 2011 in Spain), and this will be the case again this year during the 12H of Motorland Aragon where we could see around ten competing. these cars.
