The beautiful pieces from the Artcurial sale at Rétromobile

Artcurial Motorcars Retromobile sales excellence competition

With 10 participations in 24 Hours of Le Mans, Maître Hervé Poulain, is known and recognized as the fastest auctioneer in the world! Alongside his friends Mathieu Lamoure and Pierre Novikoff, respectively Director and Deputy Director of Artcurial Motorcars, he will have the difficult but happy task of putting on sale on February 3 and 4 more than 230 collector's cars, including some fabulous models.

The star of this sale is an exceptional Ferrari 250LM Berlinetta from 1964. The 250 LM was the last Ferrari to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the hands of Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt in 1965, defying predictions that Ford would win. 10th of 32 examples produced, the 250 LM offered by Artcurial has never experienced the horrors of competition and can therefore boast a Matching Numbers pedigree chassis, engine, gearbox and bodywork. Rarer than a 250 GTO, the latest estimates place its value at 25 million Euros.

Among the 23 Maranello creations put up for sale, a 340 America from 1964, a 575 GTC ex JMB Racing from 2003 and a F40 from 1992 with less than 25km on the odometer should all exceed 000 million euros.

It is also in these stratospheric estimates that we find three Bugattis, a Type 35C from 1929, a Type 43 Grand Sport “Prima Donna” and a Type 57 Atalante from 1935.

If you swear by it Formula 1 and a certain red baron, a Benetton Renault B195 led to victory in 1995 by Michael Schumacher can be your. To acquire this driver/constructor World Champion, you will have to sign a check with 7 zeros and settle for a 10L Judd V3.5 instead of the vintage Renault V10.

Die-hard fans of “Barn Find” models will only have their eyes on a Lamborghini Countach LP400 “periscopio” in its original condition, carefully stored since the early 2000s.

An Artcurial sale would not be an Artcurial sale without a few celebrity vehicles such as the 1967 Ford Mustang driven by Jean-Paul Belmondo in the famous chase in the film “Le Marginal” or the Riva speedboat Super Florida of 1964 by “Bébel” baptized Elodie, from the name of his first wife. There Porsche Johnny Hallyday's 911 1979 SC, prepared by the Almeras brothers, or the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona which belonged to singer Christophe, a great lover of beautiful automobiles, will also be in the spotlight.

Enthusiasts, buyers and the curious will be able to discover all of these wonders on the 5 square meters of the ARTCURIAL Motorcars stand set up din hall 2/2 of Porte de Versailles.
