You know the fable of the frog who wants to be as big as the ox (Jean de La Fontaine)... the history of Tecno could be summarized like this, but that would be ignoring the successes achieved by the Bolognese brand in the categories “inferior” then open to all. Tecno is the story of the Pederzani brothers. Born in 1926, Luciano is the technician while Gianfranco, 16 years his junior, is the manager. In the early 1960s, their company specializing in hydraulic pumps was flourishing. While the karting arrived in Italy, they developed a passion for these small machines and began competing before building their own chassis. Founded in January 1962, Tecnokart would experience tremendous commercial and sporting success, culminated by 15 chassis sold in eight years and three world titles. In 000, when Guido Sala had just won the first of them, the Pederzani built a car with a 250 cc motorcycle engine, which would lead to the creation of Formula K3.
