- The Swiss team took back control of the event during the pit stops with Malthe Jakobsen at the wheel of the No. 37 ahead of Alex Lynn and pole sitter Ben Hanley (United Autosports).
- Nelsinho Piquet (Team Virage) ended up in the gravel at turn 1 after a collision with Laurents Hörr (DKR Engineering), triggering a Full Course Yellow.
