After Le Castellet and Imola, Prema claimed a third victory in four rounds ELMS contested this season. At the 4H of Barcelona, the Italian team took the lead from the first hour of the race thanks to Ferdinand Habsburg. However, the Austrian started from 7th position. His teammates Lorenzo Colombo and Louis Delétraz were then able to manage their effort to reach the checkerboard victoriously. Behind, Panis Racing and COOL Racing fought for the other two places on the podium. In the championship, Prema carried out an excellent operation since the IDEC Sport team, second in the standings before the Catalan meeting, lost big due to an error by Paul Lafargue and only finished in 13th place.

In LM P3, it was Inter Europol Competition which dominated the event from start to finish. Second in his category at the start, Charles Crews quickly took control with the Polish team's #320 Ligier JS P13 – Nissan. Nico Pino and Guilherme Oliveira did the rest. The only Duqueine entered, the No. 4 DKR Engineering, finished in second position with its trio Sebastian Alvarez, Alexander Bukhantsov and Tom van Rompuy. On pole, the COOL Racing n°17 of Malthe Jakobsen, Michael Benham and Maurice Smith completed the podium.

Premature abandonment for the Iron Dames

The GTE category lost one of its main contenders for victory from the start. After an excellent takeoff from second position allowing her to take the lead, Sarah Bovy was in fact sent into the wall by the No. 3 Eurointernational LM P10 of Freddie Hunt, who was making his debut in ELMS. Dorian Pin was also supposed to make its first race in the championship this Sunday, but the premature abandonment of the Iron Dames decided otherwise. It's probably only a postponement for the young Frenchwoman, who, in these circumstances, should once again be selected by her team for the next round of the championship, the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, on September 25.

The Ferraris took second and third places with the #55 of Spirit of Race (Duncan Cameron, Matthew Griffin, David Perel) and the #66 of JMW Motorsport (Giacomo Petrobelli, Sean Hudspeth, Miguel Molina).
