So far silent, Ferdinand Habsburg took the time to give his news, a few days after his exit from the track in Aragón. As a reminder, the Austrian, pilot Alpine en WEC, had a accident in turn 7 of the Spanish track on Wednesday March 27.
Beyond the damage on the A424, Alpine saw his representative emerge injured from the accident. Taken immediately into care, Ferdinand Habsburg broke two vertebrae, putting him on leave for a good period. Repatriated to Austria where he began his recovery process, the driver of the French firm appeared on social networks equipped with a medical harness.
« Hello everyone, from Vienna. As you may have read or heard, I had an accident a week ago during a test in Aragón during which I fractured two vertebrae, he began his video published on Instagram.
This made my last few days really uncomfortable and difficult. But I'm happy to be able to stand in front of you, even if it's with some sort of metal frame around me.
My recovery began with the goal in mind to be back behind the wheel of a race car as quickly as possible. As such, I wanted to thank you enormously for your kindness and the messages of support that I received, and that I still receive. I hope to see you again very soon."

Ferdinand Habsburg absent at Imola?
Certain to miss the first round of theELMS in Barcelona (April 13-14), where Paul-Loup Chatin will replace him at COOL Racing, Ferdinand Habsburg is not yet assured of a return to competition for Imola (April 21), the second meeting of the WEC.
The next few days will be crucial in the Austrian's convalescence. In the event of a withdrawal, this could give rise to the first appearance of Jules Gounon, current reservist, with Alpine.
