As he prepares to compete in the last round of the Formula 2 in Abu Dhabi with DAMS, Ayumu Iwasa is already set on his sporting program for the 2024 season. At the end of this second F2 campaign under the colors of the Sarthe team, the Japanese will set sail for his native Japan where a new challenge awaits him.
Rookie of the year in 2022 for his first experience in the anteroom of the F1, the Osaka native will make his debut in Super Formula. Ayumu Iwasa has indeed been confirmed in the ranks of Team Mugen on the Honda No. 15. Within the Asaka team, he will be supported by double champion (2021-2022) and third place last season Tomoki Nojiri who will be on the No. 16.

Ayumu Iwasa in F1 before heading to Japan
But before returning to his homeland, Ayumu Iwasa will be entitled to his first experience in Formula 1. Member of the fold Red Bull, the Nippon will participate in the Rookie Test with Alpha Tauri on Tuesday, November 28.
On the Yas Marina track, he will be at the wheel of one of the AT04s of the trans teamalpine all day long. On the second car, AlphaTauri will alternate between Daniel Ricciardo et Yuki tsunoda. The Australian will attack on Tuesday before giving way to his teammate.
