  •  The Italian was, however, the first to shoot, setting the reference time less than 10 minutes from the end of the session. A few minutes later, his best time was erased for failure to respect the racing line at turn 1. The Lamborghini driver got back to work but the performance window of his tires having passed, he was unable to do better only 8th in this qualifying session.

  • Christian Engelhart (Grasser Racing Team) set the second fastest time of the session, ahead of Preining's teammate: Dennis Olsen (Manthey EMA). The latter has already set himself the objective of protecting his leader as best he can.

  • Franck Perera posted an excellent 4th time, we can imagine the Frenchman coming to cause trouble among the leaders in order to come to the aid of his transalpine teammate.

  • Ricardo Feller (Abt Sportsline) is 7th in this test session held in the dry (first time since the start of the Hockenheim meeting). The Swiss driver is the last driver who, with Bortolotti, can challenge Preining's leading position.
