GT1: Mücke wants to stay in touch

Stefan Mücke and Darren Turner stood out at Paul-Ricard by finishing in second place, less than a second behind the #23 Nissan GT-R of Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr. The crew of theAston Martin No. 8 in the Young Driver AMR is now preparing to discover the Ordos circuit this week, the antepenultimate event of the season where it is still competing for the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles.

However, the German does not seem very confident for this event where he fears lacking performance due to the ballast of the car and the nature of the track. “China has been successful for me in the past, I won my very first FIA GT race there. I'm glad the summer break is over so I can get back behind the wheel. The races in China will be interesting and demanding. We have studied the nature of the layout but we don't really know if the track will favor our car. The objective will be to score as many points as possible. »

Stefan Mücke hopes to win again this season even if he is not convinced of standing out at Ordos. “Of course our goal will be to win at least one race in the last three events of the season, but I don't think that will happen in China. Our Aston Martin is suffering from the ballast following our performance at Paul-Ricard. We hope to pick up some more important points up there to stay in the fight for the Championship until the last round of the season. »
