It will be Frédéric Makowiecki's first full-time commitment to Super GT since 2013, where the driver from Arras (Pas-de-Calais) finished just off the podium with the Dome team and a Honda HSV-010 GT, while winning the prestigious Suzuka 1 Km.
“It is a great pride to be part of the Nissan family, rejoiced the person concerned. I fought against the Nissans in 2013 and 2014 (8th after half a season. Editor’s note), From now on I will try to make this brand win. We have a good package and I can't wait for the season to start (in Okayama on April 13 and 14). »
Until then, the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 will be improved in terms of aerodynamic balance, weight distribution and optimization of the power curve. The engine will also be more efficient.
In total, qfour models will be entered. Team Nismo will trust Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli, Team Impul will trust Daiki Sasaki and James Rossiter, while Mitsunori Takaboshi and Jann Mardenborough will defend the colors of Kondo Racing.
