The veil was lifted on the Tesla Model S EGT which will be used for the Electric GT Championship, the first 100% electric GT car championship, during a conference held this Tuesday, September 27 in Ibiza (Spain).

Started by Mark Gemmell, this series will see 20 drivers compete over seven races: Barcelona (Spain), Donington Park (Great Britain), Mugello (Italy), Nürburgring (Germany), Assen (Netherlands), Estoril (Portugal) and Jarama ( Spain), as well as on events organized in America which will be contested outside the Championship.

The format of the events will consist of a 20-minute practice session, a 30-minute qualifying session and two races, one of which will be held in the evening, each of which will be 60km long.
The Tesla Model S EGT will be a propulsion capable of reaching 0 to 100km/h in 3,2s. The cars will be fitted with tires Pirelli.
