The Young Driver AMR drives the point home

The Championship race started under safety car conditions as rain intensified at the Beijing Goldenport circuit. THE Aston Martin of the Young Driver AMR managed to maintain the advantage despite the fabulous flight of Maxime Martin with the No. 41 Marc VDS Racing Ford GT Matech, who retired in the qualifying race after Bertrand Baguette went off the track.

However, it was the No. 9 Hexis AMR DB4 of Piccini-Hohenadel which was in the lead after the pit stops. Piccini retained the advantage before going off the track five minutes from the finish.

The positions no longer changed, the last laps having been contested under safety car regime. The Luhr-Krumm crew of the No. 23 Nissan GT-of JR Motorsport reached the last step of the podium and protected their first place in the Championship by beating the No. 41 Ford of Baguette-Martin.

The victory of the Mücke-Turner duo allows them to come back to eleven points behind the leaders Krumm-Luhr. Young Driver AMR's two doubles give the team a ten-point lead over JR Motorsport.
