Young Driver still wants to believe in titles

Fighting for the title until the end last year, the Young Driver AMR was present again this season. With three meetings remaining, the German team occupies 3rd place in the teams ranking with 12 points behind the leaders. As for the Mücke-Turner and Enge-Müller duos, they are respectively 4th and 5th with 32 and 35 points behind the Luhr-Krumm pair. But the drivers expect to suffer on this track which, like all their opponents, they will have to discover.

“Chinese routes are not made for us, underlines Tomas Enge. And we have ballast in the car (following the two second places at Paul-Ricard, editor's note) But on the other hand, we were fast on certain circuits on which we did not expect to shine, like at Zolder, where we got on the podium. For us, the important thing during these two Chinese events will be to glean as many points as possible before attacking Argentina, where we were very fast last year. »

“As far as Ordos is concerned, it is certainly not the best route for us, continues team principal Hardy Fischer. But we also thought of this for other circuits. And once we arrived, we were fast. I am therefore not going to venture into predictions. »

And Hardy Fischer is right. This morning, it?sAston Martin n°7 of the Müller-Turner pair who set the best time in pre-qualifying.
