A new look for Renault Clio in customer competition

Iconic vehicle of the range Renault, the Clio is the best-selling French car of all time. Since the first generation launched in 1990, nearly 16 million Clios have been sold in no less than 120 countries. Available for motorsport since 1991, the versatile city car has also won over in this world with a diversity of versions and affordable prices allowing everyone to find Clio to suit them.

With these same timeless principles, each generation has improved the DNA and achievements of the previous one. In recent months, the Clio has inaugurated a new style to reinvent itself and become a true illustration of the “New Renault wave”. Initiating a new cycle through a first interpretation of the brand's new design language, it is characterized by a new front combining technicality and dynamism. With its completely redesigned lighting signature, and its taut, precise and efficient lines, New Clio benefits from a more marked character, at once statutory, vibrant and emotional.

Reflections of the series, the Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4, Clio Rally5, Clio Cup and Clio RX have benefited from the hard work of the Manufacture's teams Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé andAlpine Racing at Viruses-Châtillon. Determined to strengthen the ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in the automotive world, they have implemented this new design on all competition versions designed and assembled in Dieppe. Highlighting the links with Alpine, the monogram “Esprit Alpine » representing the sporty line of Renault models appears on their wings while the darkened front and rear identity logos as well as the rear bumper of the finish are also present.

Capturing all eyes on its path, New Clio will be at work this season, notably in the Clio Trophy France Asphalte, Clio Trophy France Terre and Clio Cup Series. In order to control costs, customers and competitors already have access to a kit to adopt this new design for their cars, while all Clios produced since the end of January are delivered in Phase 2 by the Dieppe Competition Workshop. .

Since 2020, 737 Clios have been produced for competition. Clio Rally5 is the best-seller in the range ahead of Clio Cup and Clio Rally4. Launched less than a year ago, Clio Rally3 has already seen 44 units find buyers while the Clio RX completes the list. France ranks first among the markets, but the Clio is also enjoying international success, having been sold in thirty-three countries covering four continents. To these figures are also added the orders now in production for New Clio, bringing the total to more than 800, including 84 Clio Rally3 and more than 100 Clio Rally4.
