Franck Lagorce formalizes his retirement

He ends a career of more than thirty years. As he suggested during the Andros Trophy Last January, Franck Lagroce ended his career as a professional pilot. In recent years, the Frenchman has made a specialty of the Andros Trophy, which he has competed in 24 times for 23 victories but no titles.

Previously, Lagorce experienced his finest hours at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, behind the wheel of legendary cars like the Courage in the early 90s, the Nissan GT1 and then the famous Mercedes-Benz CLR from 1999.

He has a total of ten starts at the Le Mans classic, for a fifth place as best result in 1998. He finished his race at Le Mans in 2003, on a Courage Peugeot from Pescarolo.

History will also remember his two departures in Formula 1 in 1994 on a Ligier.

Freshly retired, Franck Lagorce will now join the Andros Trophy organization. “What a joy to be able to turn a page which since the age of 10 has allowed me to live my passion! It is a great pride for me, to have been able to have an exceptional career including Formula 1, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and of course my 24 participations in the Andros Trophy, he commented.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my partners, my friends and my family who have always supported me and I am very happy to be able to join the Max Mamers team. It’s a page that is turning, but each chapter that ends calls for another… a new one will be written!”
