VIDEO – When MissionH24 delivers the Ballon d’Or to Lionel Messi

The H24, the electric-hydrogen prototype of the MissionH24 program, transported one of the most prestigious sports trophies in the world, namely the Men's Ballon d'Or and the Women's Ballon d'Or, through the streets of Paris, just a few minutes before the very official awards ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

An activation imagined in collaboration with Amaury Media and France Football and broadcast on the L'Equipe channel. With Stéphane Richelmi at the wheel, the H24 delivered this trophy rewarding the best football player in the world over a season. An exceptional transport which released only 0,4 liters of water over the 500 meters traveled during the journey.

“The relay accomplished this evening by the H24 hydrogen electric prototype in the streets of Paris with the Ballon d'Or illustrates the collaboration of sports in their action for the energy transition, declared Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and co-president of MissionH24. All sports are involved in decarbonization, sharing our experiences is more than useful. In 2022, motorsport was also linked to the ceremony, since Esteban Ocon brought the Ballon d'Or thanks to Alpine. The Frenchman even took the wheel of a F1 to deliver the trophy!
