Cocorico in Estering! The final round of the 2023 RX3 season turned into a party for the French drivers this weekend. Qualified for the final, Dylan Dufas and David Bouet, regulars of the French championship of Rallycross, proudly represented their nation with a nice double podium.

A fair reward for the two Tricolores who were always among the best throughout the weekend. But it must be said that the Team RX Evolution teammates were not at the end of their surprises since the post-race inspections worked in their favor.

Initially 2e and 3e behind Jens Hvaal, Dylan Dufas and David Bouet saw the initial winner disqualified for a technical infraction spotted on his Skoda Fabia. As a result, they were propelled to the first two positions, with victory going to Dylan Dufas!

« What a weekend which ended in apotheosis with victory in Estering, for the final of the 2023 European Championship! I'm still having trouble realizing it but we did it p***** on German lands, an unexpected French double full of twists and turns, wrote the new winner on his social networks.

After a ninth place in the intermediate classification due to a DNF in Q4 following a collision on the first meters, it was then necessary to begin the comeback in the semi-final! Starting from the last row I managed to come out second behind my teammate David, to finish in a solid third place, synonymous with qualification for the final, but following David's downgrade which I found unfair, I moved up to P2 in the semi-final.

It was then necessary to put on the gas in the final to get my first podium on the international scene, after a start and a tumultuous first round I managed to finish in a solid 2e place but following the downgrading of the first for non-compliance on his car (congratulations to him for his weekend he deserved his victory) we finished first with the second best lap time of the weekend, 1 thousandth behind the vice-champion of 'Europe ! » A great way to end the international campaign before diving back into the French championship with a highly anticipated next meeting in Lohéac for the resumption (September 1-3).
