Mikolaj Marczyk leader at the end of the first stage

Seven special stages and just over 107 timed kilometers were on the program for this first stage, which started yesterday evening with the Mikolajki super special. Leader with a reduced margin of 0s2, Nil Solans immediately suffered the attacks of the local driver who won the first two ES of the day and moved into a tie with the member of Kowax Racing. He recovered his seat in SS4 just before passing through the service park. The fight resumed during the afternoon loop. Marczyk got closer in SS5 (at 4s4), Solans responded in the next one by pushing his opponent back to 5s4. However, the fight ended in the last time trial of the day. Nil Solans hit a large stone in a left turn, broke his direction then went off the road. Marczyk found himself leading the race with a 20s4 lead over Tom Kristensson. At 3e Rank, Ken Torn (Fiesta) could be satisfied with his day. Just behind (at 0s3), Efren Llarena was the big winner this Saturday with a view to the championship. Leader in the rankingERC before the start, the Spaniard made a good comeback from 7e place he occupied after SS1. In ERC4, the match between Laurent Pellier and Anthony Fotia did not take place. The pilot Renault withdrew from the first section of the day. At the wheel of his Corsa, Pellier has a short lead of 2 seconds over Finnish Toni Herranen (Fiesta). The survivors will still have 6 special stages to compete on Sunday, i.e. 78,24 km timed.
