Mattias Ekström (Audi) set the best time in the first practice session of the DTM in Hockenheim (Germany). The double champion completed a lap in 1'34"136, ahead of Daniel Juncadella by less than a tenth (Mercedes) and Marco Wittmann (BMW) already crowned. The Germans Timo Glock (BMW) and Timo Scheider (Audi) complete the top five ahead of Adrien Tambay (Audi). Maxime Martin (BMW) finished on the outskirts of the top six with less than four tenths behind. The first 21 drivers are less than a second behind.
